The Data Collector is a module which allows for the easy collection, storage and manipulation of data entered via an online form.
The WMS Sample shows a simple form with a limited number of fields for collecting data. Imagine the power such a module could have within your organisation, for example if you need to collect guest review information to improve business operations. To utilise the data collector module you simply design an online form and ask for the information to be submitted via your website! This removes the hassle and admin cost of sending forms out manually and inputting data once received back.
The data is stored within a .csv file which is opened in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet application. This enables easy ordering and manipulation of the collected data by way of the many functions available through these spreadsheet applications.
Access to the .csv file is through the WMS and is therefore limited to those with logins to your site within the WMS - so there is a high level of security covering the data that is collected.
