      The Ezone Site Search Module embeds text search into your site using JRank. Users can enter keywords into a search box that may feature on any or all of the pages within your site and view the results within a page (within your site). The styling of the results is completely controlled by the underlying code of your site.

      JRank is a free third party search engine that works in the same way as Google. Automated search bots crawl the site at set intervals, indexing the page content. The WMS module then sends your users queries to the JRank server, receiving back in a standard format, the search results. These results are then displayed in the search results page.

      Integration with other providers of a similar service is also possible as a "bespoke" service, please enquire for further information.

    • Our client, Servite Housing, currently use JRank (as opposed to Google) as their embedded website search provider. The Site Search is implemented within their website header with the search results are displayed as part of their overall website.

Requirements

  • ASP.Net 2.0 enabled hosting environment.
  • Account with JRank and an API Key for the account.
  • Link to JRank homepage to be placed on the page registered as JRank's start page.
